An Adventure Through History
The South Shore Children's Museum is where play and learning come together! The museum provides an opportunity for children to discover our nation’s rich past through hands-on experiences -- without ever having to leave the South Shore! Each exhibit teaches them about a different aspect of American history through exciting interactive play. From creating crafts to sharing stories, children will learn about America and have fun doing it!

The Museum - TEMPORARILY CLOSED
Come explore our country's history! From the cranberry bog to the Old West, we are committed to providing a fun, creative play experience for your child.
As they step through the door, children are transported back in time to discover America’s beginnings first hand. They will understand what it was like to be a pioneer riding in a covered wagon and saddling up in the corral. Their imaginations will run wild as they learn about Native Americans while sitting in a teepee. And the origin of our nation’s railroads will be explored as children build their own railway.
Every exhibit teaches children about a different part of America’s rich history and growth in a way that is enjoyable for them. There is no shortage of engaging activities to both entertain and educate.
Children can take part in story time and crafts during a visit, or join us for one of our many special events throughout the year. There’s always something fun happening inside our doors! We also host programs such as Stranger Safety, Healthy Food, Healthy Teeth and children's concerts.
And our museum is for more than just individual families. Whether you have a preschool, home school, church group, neighborhood group or play group, we are a great place to bring children for learning and fun. Our prices are very easy on any budget. Contact us for more information or to schedule a time for your group.
We hope you’ll join us and explore all that our country, and our museum, has to offer!
